Then check out the CEO Program that is coming to the Williston CTE Center. This program will serve high school juniors and seniors in Williston, Ray, Trenton, and Grenora.

What is the CEO Program?

The CEO Program is a business and entrepreneurship class conducted through the CTE Center aimed at high school juniors and seniors. The program is designed to provide real world experiences in entrepreneurship. Students will visit businesses and hear expert lectures on entrepreneurship, business, and life success. Additionally, the students will start and operate both a class business and their own individual business during the course of the academic year. 

When Will the Program Launch?

The local CEO Program is expected to launch in the Fall of 2027.

CEO Board Composition:  

The CEO Board is typically comprised of 9-11 people with recommended representation from the following groups:

  • Attorney 
  • Maximum of 3 Educators 
  • Accountant/Banker
  • Community Leaders 
  • Business Investors 
  • Media Point Person 
  • Administrative Agent 

What are the Expected Duties of a Board Member?

  • Three Year term Commitment
  • Hold 12 Board Meetings
    • Occurring monthly throughout the year with minutes recorded 
  • Attend a minimum of 4-5 CEO classes
  • Participate in 1 Board Committee or as a Coordinator
  •  Cyclical Terms for Board Members
  • Existing Board Members Recruit Replacements 


A CEO Investor is the heart of CEO! Your commitment of time, treasure, and energy is critical to the success of the CEO. As a CEO Investor, you are providing the needed resources for student tuition and other expenses associated with the program, while also ensuring the sustainability of the CEO class for future students. 

A CEO Investor can invest in a number of ways:

  • Investor- $1,000 per year for three years (Most Common)
  • Investor- $3,000 one-time payment in full 
  • Platinum Investor- $2,500 per year for three years
  • Platinum Investor - $7,500 one-time payment in full 
  • Titanium Investor - $5,000 per year for three years 
  • Titanium Investor - $15,000 one-time payment in full 
  • Friend of the CEO - Amount  $_____

What is a Mentor?

A Mentor is paired with a student for the course of the class year so that they may call on me with questions and I may offer advice or other support as needed. 

What Entails Being a Host Site?

Host Sites Provide a meeting place for the class (typically a Board Room). 

What is a Business Visit Site?

A Business Visit Site is a location where the class may tour the business at least one time in the course of the class year.

What Does Being a Guest Speaker Entail?

A Guest Speaker volunteers to speak to the class about their business or life skills.
